MJ's son chooses Central Florida

MJ

Okay, the reason for my post here isn't to show you who or what Michael Jordan's son looks like or where he will be playing college ball, but to post comments people make from the article online.  Here are a few funny ones:

"What's up with the goggles?"

"all that dang money and mike can get his boy lasik eye surgery... or just some contacts lol.. i mean i rocked the goggles all the way until high school.. but once you hit high school its time to advance.. but i cant hate. he has way better goggles then i did. i had the old rec specs lol "

"He must have liked Horace Grant more than his dad. "

"Michael Jordan's son needs a scholarship? Can't his father afford school? "

"is mj on a tight budget? contacts arent that much "

"gotta love the old school RecSpecs... Respect the specs! "

"Rock on Aquaman! "

"Can't afford eye surgery if Dad's Gambling away all the money and mom took half. "

UT Police Crime Report

The following entry appeared Monday on UTPD's "Campus Watch" online police blotter, right there among the public intoxication charges and criminal trespass warnings:

DKR-TEXAS MEMORIAL STADIUM

Robbery: Several UT staff members, faculty, students, and Texas Ex's discovered a fraction of a percentage point had been taken and was transported across state lines. The percentage point was discovered north of the Red River at the campus of another Big 12 South University.

(For those who aren't familiar with the UT Police report that appears in the student newspaper, the Daily Texan:  The above mentioned refers to the leap frog of Oklahoma over Texas by the BCS tiebreaker to determine who plays in the Big 12 Championship game)

Florida State's "Taiwan" wide receiver

In case you haven't noticed...FSU has a player named "Taiwan Easterling."

http://seminoles.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/easterling_taiwan00.html

I haven't read anything that ties him to the mother-island though...I can only assume it's one of those names given that the parent's though was cool?

Mighty Fine Football Weekend

OU_Einstein

I can't help but relish in Saturday's victory over then #1 OU.   Texas jumps from #5 to the new #1 in both AP and Coaches polls.  I know we all need to understand that it's only midseason and that Missouri is coming to town but it still feels great for Texas Football to get props from all over the football community.

So while sitting in the doctor's office for my final visit over my previously broken finger that will forever be deformed, I came across the pre-season SI issue for college football and their prediction of rankings.

1. Georgia

2. Ohio St

3. USC

4. Missouri

5. Florida

6. Oklahoma

7. Auburn

8. Texas Tech

9. LSU

10. Wisconsin

Bowl Predictions:

Rose (USC vs. Wisconsin)

Orange (Clemson vs. West Virginia)

Sugar (Florida vs. Oklahoma)

Fiesta (Arizona St. vs. Missouri)

BCS Championship (Georgia vs. Ohio St.)

***Gator Bowl (Texas vs. Virginia Tech)***

KFC Original Receipe Chicken Strips

Ok.  So I just had me some KFC chicken strips...the new one's that supposedly have the 11 herbs and spices like the original chicken that they are famous for.  Well, maybe I got a bad batch but I thought they tasted nothing like the original receipe.  Not even close.  I don't even think they cook them the same way (pressure cooked deep frying).  For $3.99 you get 3 strips and a side.   I'm also complaining that the strips were pretty dang small compared to the pictures.  So, they are not only pricey but taste like some not so crispy strips with some pepper on them.  Not worth trying if you haven't yet!
